- The mountain expedition 'Amritarohan' will take place at various places along the eastern front on August 15.
- The peaks to be climbed are located near 75 ITBP border posts along the India-China Line of Actual Control (LAC). Out of the peaks to be scaled, 33 of them are located in Ladakh, 16 in Uttarakhand, 11 in Sikkim, 10 in Himachal Pradesh, and 5 in Arunachal Pradesh.
- Himveers of the force will climb 75 different peaks and set a unique record of hoisting the national flag simultaneously on August 15, 2022. The tallest peak among these is located in Sikkim at a height of 18,750 feet.
- ITBP will also undertake a 75-day long 'relay range patrol' (LRP) along the 3,488 of the LAC. The relay LRP started on August 1 from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh and will conclude at Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh on October 14 after covering a distance of 7,575 km across the border.
- ITBP has formed as a result of 1962 Chinese aggression and apart from guarding the LAC, it carries out varieties of internal security duties.
