Nagaland government rolls out eSanjeevani service

Current Context: Nagaland government rolls out the eSanjeevani service, a national teleconsultation service of the Union Ministry of Health and Family welfare.

• Nagaland's Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom said the eSanjeevani initiative will replace the Nagaland government's Naga telehealth, a telemedicine platform and assisted teleconsultation system.
• The minister launched the initiative during a program to felicitate three health care units in the state that received the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) in health care service.
• eSanjeevani is a citizen-centric online-based outpatient consultation that is very useful to patients in remote areas.
• eSanjeevani will provide patients residing in rural areas with quality health care service. Minister Pangnyu requested officials to encourage health care workers and the public to make use of the platform.
