- Odisha government plans to set up Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs) parks in all the 30 districts of the state.
- This was announced by Chief Secretary S C Mohapatra at the concluding session of Propack Odisha 2022 and MSME Odisha 2022 organized by the Odisha Assembly of Small and Medium Enterprises (OASME).
- MSMEs will be provided with all infrastructure support including land, electricity, and water in the districts. More than 450 crores have been given to Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) to develop the required infrastructure in the districts for the MSME parks.
- Banks are told to ensure the availability of finance for MSMEs and look after the quality part of finance. The government on regular basis is organizing workshops with several banks and trade platforms.
- The government plans to add all public sector banks (PSU) to trade discounting platforms by the year-end and this will help MSMEs.
