  • Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu along with Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and Piyush Goyal flagged off the Tiranga bike rally of MPs of all parties from Red fort in Delhi which will end at Vijay Chowk.
  • As India is going to celebrate its 75th independence day on August 15 the government has launched the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. This campaign encourages people to hoist the national flag at their homes to mark the 75th year of India's independence.
  • Parliament has recently amended India's flag code, 2002 giving permission for the use of national flags made of machine-made polyester.
  • The government has tied up with e-commerce companies like amazon and Flipkart so that flags are easily available to the public.
