- Since 1985, 20th September is celebrated every year as the Raising Day of RPF.
- This was for the first time that a National Level Parade of RPF was organized outside New Delhi.
- The Chief Guest at the 38th Raising Day was the Minister of State for Railways and Textiles, Darshana Vikram Jardosh.
- At the event, the “President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service”, “Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak”, “Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service”, “Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak” and “Jeevan Raksha Padak” were presented to 23 RPF personnel.
- Late Shri Gyan Chand, Head Constable RPF NCR was posthumously conferred the Sarwottam Jeewan Raksha Padak.
- The quarterly e-magazine of RPF, “Rail Sainik”, was released with a special “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” Edition.
- Darshana Vikram Jardosh also unveiled the installation of a Railway Coach with an Engine for train intervention training and hosted a 100 ft. high Monumental National Flag at the Academy Campus.
