- The soft launching was done by Arvind Kumar, Director General, Software Technology Park of India (STPI) & Chairman STPINEXT, and Atul Bhatt, CMD, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Kalpataru.
- In the first phase, the RINL shared a few challenges pertaining to RINL’s production area and through this OCP- 1, the start-ups will be selected to work in Kalpataru Project.
- At the launching event, Arvind Kumar said that the CoE will require all the domains of Engineering with the knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as against the notion of only Computer Science to work on Industry 4.0.
- He further mentioned that Kalapatru will be the mother of all 20 Software Technology Parks across India that will drive all other CoEs.
- Addressing the event, Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL, said that MeitY(Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology), STPI, and RINL will collaborate to foster the startups under Atma Nirbhar Bharat and will assist them in implementing the Industry 4.0 in India.
- RINL is a government-owned steel producer and was established in 1982 with its headquarters in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is also known as Vizag Steel. The current CMD is Atul Bhatt.
