Agni Tattva- Energy For LiFE Campaign

Current Context: The Union Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy, RK Singh, launched the Agni Tattva– Energy for LiFE campaign in New Delhi.

• It was launched to create awareness about the core concept of Agni Tattva which is one of the five elements of Panchmahabhoot.
• The Panchmahabhoot consists of:

1. Fire (Agni)
2. Air (Vayu)
3. Water (Jal)
4. Earth (Prithvi)
5. Space (Aakash)

• The campaign aims to provide a platform to discuss and deliberate upon the learning and experiences of experts and specialists and explore solutions for a sustainable future.
• Several vital topics focusing on health, spirituality, environment, security, consumption, and production transport will be covered as a part of the campaign.
• The idea of Lifestyle for the Environment (LiFE) was introduced by PM Modi during the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow in 2021.
• The key idea of LiFE is to move away from the practice of “mindless and wasteful consumption” and embrace “mindful and deliberate utilization”.
