  • The first Border Security Force (BSF) female Camel Riding Squad was introduced. The squad will be deployed at the India-Pakistan borders in Rajasthan and Gujarat and will also participate in the BSF Raising Day Parade on December 1.
  • The Jharkhand government granted 77% reservation in State government jobs for the members of the SC, ST, backward classes, OBC, and the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
  • Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman, chaired the 26th Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC) meeting in Mumbai. In the meeting, she reviewed the state of the economy of the country.
  • Sweden's Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson announced her resignation after losing the election. Andersson's Social Democrats lost marginally to the alliance of 4-parties, Sweden Democrats, Moderate Party, Christian Democrats, and Liberals by 173 seats to 176 seats.

    • Sunil Barthwal was appointed as the Commerce Secretary. He is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre and will be succeeding B V R Subrahmanyam.
    • Vivek Bharadwaj was appointed as the Mines Secretary. He is a 1990-batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre and will be succeeding Alok Tandon.
  • Obituary:
    • Former ICC elite panel umpire, Asad Rauf of Pakistan, passed away following a cardiac arrest in Lahore. He was 66 and was one of the prominent umpires in the cricket world.
    • American Rhythm & Blues (R&B) star Jesse Powell passed away at 51 in Los Angeles. Powell celebrated his birthday 2 days before his death.
    • Former Cabinet Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. S. Samy Vellu, passed away at the age of 86. He was the first Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awardee from Malaysia.
  • Sports:
    • Tennis legend and one of the greats, Roger Federer, announced his retirement from competitive tennis. He announced that the 2022 Laver Cup will be his final ATP tournament. The Swiss star won a total of 20 Grand Slam Singles Titles in his awe-inspiring career.
    • SAFF U-17 Championship: India crushed Nepal 4-0 to clinch the SAFF U-17 Championship 2022. Goalscorers Korou Singh, Boby Singh, captain Vanlalpeka Guite, and Aman helped India successfully defend the Title.
    • World Wrestling Championship: Vinesh Phogat became the first Indian woman wrestler to win two medals at the World Championships as she won a bronze in 53kg by defeating Sweden's Emma Jonna Malmgren.
