- The Government of India (GoI) launched the diabetes drug Sitagliptin. Per pack of the medicine will consist of 10 medicines and will cost Rs. 60 and will be sold every Jan Aushadhi Kendra.
- The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) with its National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NHAEP) and Crop Science Division (CSD) is going to organize Hackathon 3.0 ‘’KRITAGYA” to promote, “Speed Breeding for Crop Improvement”. The last date for registration is 26thSeptember 2022.
- The Ministry of Defence launched an online portal for filing applications for “Raksha Mantri’s Awards for Excellence in Defence and Aerospace Sector 2021-22”. The last date for filing an application is September 29, 2022.
- The Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, addressed the 75th Annual General Meeting of the Indian Banks' Association in Mumbai. In the meeting asked banks to be more digital savvy and use the latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) for fraud detection.
- The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) gave a nod to the merger of Exide Life Insurance with HDFC Life Insurance. The Scheme of Amalgamation was approved by the Mumbai bench of the NCLT.

- Ugandan climate activist Vanessa Nakate was appointed as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. She is a member of the “Fridays for Future” Movement and also founded the “Rise Up Movement” for spreading climate change awareness.
- BVR Subrahmanyam was appointed as the new Chairman & Managing Director of the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO). He is the 1987 batch IAS officer from the Chhattisgarh cadre and will replace LC Goyal.
- Trevor Bayliss was appointed as the Head Coach of the Punjab Kings for the 2023 season of the IPL. Bayliss was the coach of the 2019 World Cup winning team, England.
- Former South African wicket-keeper, Mark Boucher, was appointed as the Head Coach of the Mumbai Indians for the 2023 season of the IPL.
