- The State Bank of India Card (SBI Card) launched the first ‘cashback SBI Card’, enabling cardholders to earn 5% cashback on all online spending without any merchant restrictions. It is a contactless card and will be free till March 2023. Interested customers will be able to buy it from the SBI Card SPRINT App.
- The Tejas Mark-2 Project, which is the advanced version of Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS). The Committee sanctioned Rs 6500 cr in addition to the Rs 2500 cr that was already approved for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Smiths Detection Groups Limited for making High Energy Scanning Systems in India. It will enhance land border and port safety in India.
- The Border and Security Force (BSF) has developed a tear gas shell-dropping drone launcher system for police, and security forces. It has been designed to control mobs and rioters.
- The rural Backyard Piggery Scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K Sangma. It is a flagship program for the farmers under National Livestock Mission.
