NMCG organises webinar series on wetland conservation

Current Context: National Mission for Clean Ganga organized the 11th edition of the monthly webinar series.

• The theme of the series was, ‘Wetland Conservation’.
• The title of the webinar series is, “Igniting Young Minds, Rejuvenating Rivers”.
• It was held in collaboration with APAC News and was headed by NMCG Director General Shri G. Ashok Kumar.
• The point that 23 of the 75 Ramsar sites in India are located on the Ganga was emphasized.
• Wetlands were stated to be one of the most important pillars of the Namami Ganga Mission.
