• In August 2023, the 15th BRICS summit will take place in Durban, South Africa. Sergei Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, and Osman Saleh, the foreign minister of the State of Eritrea, made the announcement during a joint press conference in Massawa, Eritrea.
• The third INTERPOL Young Global Police Leaders Programme (YGPLP) will be held in New Delhi, India, from January 25 to February 2, 2023. Jurgen Stock, the Secretary General of INTERPOL, digitally addressed the audience.

• In the Australian Open 2023, Arina Sabalenka of Belarus won the women's singles match by defeating Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan. Rafael Matos and Luisa Stefani, a Brazilian team, took home the Mixed Doubles championship.
