Current context: Airtel Payments Bank has launched BizKhata, a new current account designed for small merchants and business partners in India.

  • BizKhata has been created specifically for business owners who currently use savings accounts for their business needs but need to meet the minimum balance requirements of traditional business accounts.
  • This current account comes with no minimum balance requirement and allows business owners to make online payments using Immediate Payment Service (IMPS), Unified Payments Interface (UPI), National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT), and IFT to any bank in India.
  • The account is also linked to a QR code, making it possible for the business owner to accept payments from UPI apps.
  • BizKhata unifies all business transactions on a single platform and offers various other banking benefits, including keeping accurate records.
  • The current account solution is available to new and existing AirtelPayments Bank merchants and business partners. The account can be instantly opened using biometric authentication and minimum documentation.
