  • According to a statement from the Madhya Pradesh administration, the village of Islam Nagar in the Bhopal district has been renamed Jagdishpur.
  • The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PMKUSUM) scheme has been extended by the government until March 2026. Because of COVID uncertainty, it has not yet produced the intended results. In 2019, PM-KUSUM was introduced.

  • From February 1 to February 5, 2023, the Gandhisagar Floating Festival will be held in the Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh. Being the first floating festival in Asia, this festival is unique.
  • 500 new waste-to-wealth facilities will be built as part of the GOBARDHAN programme to advance the circular economy under the segment titled "Green Growth." At a cost of Rs 10,000 crore, these will include 200 compressed biogas facilities, 75 in metropolitan areas, and 300 community or cluster-based plants.
  • On February 1st, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman upped the defence budget's allotment to Rs 5.94 lakh crore for 2023–24 from Rs 5.25 lakh crore the previous year (2022–23).
  • In terms of overall budget allocations, school education has seen a boost of Rs 9,752.07 crore (16.51%), and higher education has seen a gain of Rs 44,094.62 crore (8%) compared to RE 2022-23's allocation of Rs 40,828.35 crore.
