10th Joint Naval Exercise 'SLINEX-2023' to be held between India and Sri Lanka

Current Context: The tenth annual edition of the Regional Maritime Exercise 'SLINEX-2023' will begin in Colombo, Sri-Lanka from 3 April 2023 which will run till 8 April.

• The exercise is being conducted in two phases of three days each, harbour phase and sea phase.
• The Indian Navy will be represented by INS Kiltan and INS Savitri, while the Sri Lankan Navy will be represented by SLNS Vijayabahu and SLNS Samudura.
• SLINEX-2023 aims to enhance interoperability, improve mutual understanding and exchange best practices and procedures in multi-dimensional maritime operations between the two navies.
