  • The Central Government approved a new gas pricing formula to cap the prices of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) based on the recommendations of the Kirit Parikh Committee on Natural Gas.
  • Banking:
    • Singapore-based sovereign wealth fund Temasek said that it is acquiring an additional 41 per cent stake in Manipal Health Enterprises from investors including TPG, boosting its stake in one of the country's largest hospital chains to 59 percent.
    • Asian Development Bank commits Rs 150 cr to Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd. Multilateral funding agency ADB proposes to subscribe non-convertible debentures worth Rs 150 crore of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (TPDDL), to enhance Delhi's power distribution through grid enhancements.
    • To support the functioning and make payments more efficient, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) launched UPI Lite to simplify and accelerate low-value transactions on the UPI platform. UPI Lite is a wallet stored in your UPI BHIM App and a customer doesn’t need to go online for every transaction. UPI Lite is a solution that ensures small-value transactions below Rs 200 happen directly from this on-phone wallet and helps underwhelm the infrastructure. That has been the driving reason behind the launch of UPI Lite.
