Current Context: On April 2023, GI tag has been given to 5 handicraft products of Madhya Pradesh by the Union Ministry for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. Earlier, it has been announced to give GI tag to Sundarja mango of Rewa district, Gajak of Morena.

- Batik Print of Ujjain,
- Stone Craft of Jabalpur Bhedaghat
- Saree of Varasivni of Balaghat.
- With this, the number of GI-tagged products has increased to 19 in Madya Pradesh.
