Current Context: Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launched the 'Yuva Portal' in New Delhi. This portal will help in identifying and exploring potential start-ups.

  • On April 17, 2023, the honourable minister also inaugurated a "One Week-One Lab" campaign that runs until April 21, 2023.
  • The objective of this campaign is to showcase the various innovations and technological advancements of each CSIR lab to the people of India.
  • This program aims to inspire young innovators, students, and startups to explore deep tech ventures by involving academia and industry in reaching out to the masses.
  • Furthermore, he inaugurated an Astronomy Laboratory in Karnal, Haryana, and emphasized that it would provide equal opportunities to all, including Divyang individuals, to excel in various skills, arts, and crafts.
  • Additionally, the facility, which will be launched in different languages, will enable deaf students to learn about the sun, moon, and stars and simple to complex concepts of space.
