Current Context: India and Australia have signed a migration and mobility partnership agreement to boost student and professional exchange between the two countries. The deal was signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ongoing visit to Australia.

  • PM Modi also announced India’s intention to open a consulate in Brisbane, a long-pending demand of the Indian community in Australia.
  • As part of their climate agenda, the two nations also finalized the Terms of Reference for the India-Australia Hydrogen Task Force.
