3rd G20 Health Working Group Meeting is being held at Hyderabad, Telangana

Current Context: The 3rd G20 Health Working Group Meeting is being held at Hyderabad, Telangana from June 4 to 6, 2023. The meeting is organised under India’s presidency and will focus on three key priorities of the G20 Health Track:

• Health emergencies prevention, preparedness and response with a focus on antimicrobial resistance and one health framework
• Strengthening cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector with a focus on access and availability of safe, effective, quality and affordable medical countermeasures (vaccines, therapeutics and diagnostics)
• Digital health innovations and solutions to aid universal health coverage and improve healthcare service delivery
• The meeting will also consist of a main event and a side event, with a focus on collaboration on research and development in medical countermeasures.
