Madhya Pradesh to transfer Rs 6423 crore in Bank Accounts of Farmers

Current Context: Madhya Pradesh’s Kisan-Kalyan Mahakumbh, this is a programme organized by the state government to transfer Rs 6,423 crore in the bank accounts of farmers as relief funds against crop loss.

• The programme will be attended by Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the Mohanpura Dam in Rajgarh district today.
• They will also inaugurate the Mohanpura-Kundalia Pressurized Pipe Irrigation System Project built at a cost of Rs 8,481 crore.
• This project is one of the largest in the world and will benefit lakhs of farmers.
