PM Narendra Modi flags off five Vande Bharat Trains

Current Context: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Madhya Pradesh on June 27 to flag off five Vande Bharat trains from the Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal. 

• The Vande Bharat trains are semi-high speed trains that will connect important cities in different parts of the country.

• Rani Kamalapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express: This train will connect Mahakaushal region (Jabalpur) to the Central region (Bhopal) of Madhya Pradesh.
• Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express: This train will improve the connectivity of the Malwa region (Indore) and Bundelkhand region (Khajuraho) to the Central region (Bhopal).
• Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express: This train will be Goa’s first Vande Bharat Express.
• Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express: This train will connect important cities in Karnataka - Dharwad, Hubballi, and Davangere - with the state capital, Bengaluru.
• Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express: This train will be the first Vande Bharat for Jharkhand and Bihar.
