- National:
- The Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry have launched their inaugural collaboration with the Government of Gujarat in New Delhi under the One District One Product (ODOP) program.
- The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD) is implementing the Credit Guarantee Scheme under the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) to strengthen credit delivery system and facilitate smooth flow of credit to the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in livestock sector without hassles of collateral security.

- Appointments:
- Nivruti Rai, former Intel India head, has joined as the Managing Director and CEO of Invest India on July 12, 2023. She has taken over the charge from Manmeet K Nanda, Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) who had assumed this additional charge in March 2023.
- Rajay Kumar Sinha has been appointed as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of SBI Capital Markets Limited (SBICAPS), the wholly-owned subsidiary and investment banking arm of State Bank of India (SBI).
- Sat Pal Bhanoo has been appointed as the Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India. He was previously serving as the Additional Zonal Manager (In-Charge) of LIC’s Zonal Office in Bhopal. He succeeds Siddhartha Mohanty, who is presently serving as Chairperson.
- The Centre has implemented a key provision of the Competition (amendment) Act 2023 that vests power of appointment of Director General (Investigation) in the Competition Commission of India (CCI). So far, the power to appoint DG was vested in the Central Government.
