Karnataka to begin Gruha Lakshmi Scheme on July 19

Current Context: Gruha Lakshmi scheme. It is a financial assistance initiative for the women under which the women head of a household will get an assistance of Rs 2,000 per month.

• This will not only support women, but also help them in poverty alleviation and gender equality.
• The registration for the scheme starts today, July 19, 2023. You can register for free at Karnataka One, Bangalore One, Grama One and Bapuji Centers or online at the Seva Sindhu portal.
• You will need to provide your Ration Card Number, Aadhaar Card Number of wife and husband, bank account details with the Aadhaar combination and mobile number.
• The scheme amount will be deposited directly into your bank account through DBT.
