- International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) is a statutory body established in 2020 to develop and regulate financial products, financial services and financial institutions in the country’s international financial services centre.
- The MoU was signed on July 21, 2023 by KSUM Chief Executive Officer Anoop Ambika and IFSCA Chief Technology Officer Joseph Joshy at the Integrated Startup Complex in Kalamassery, Kochi.
- The MoU aims to provide stronger support to nascent fintech and techfin firms through increased capital, wider global network, access to IFSCA’s Regulatory and Innovation Sandbox, and grants under the IFSCA FinTech Incentive Scheme 2022.
- The MoU also enables collaboration on developmental matters relating to the fintech industry, such as holding events, symposia, webinars, conferences, hackathons and education programs.
