PM Narendra Modi addresses B20 Summit India 2023

Current Context: The B20 Summit India 2023 was held from 25 to 27 August at New Delhi, India.The theme of the summit was R.A.I.S.E – Responsible, Accelerated, Innovative, Sustainable and Equitable Businesses.

• The summit brought together policymakers, business leaders and experts from across the world to deliberate and discuss the B20 India Communique, which includes 54 recommendations and 172 policy actions for submission to G20.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a keynote address at the summit on 27 August at 12 noon. The summit marked the transition of the B20 presidency from India to Brazil.
• He spoke about the success of India’s lunar mission Chandrayaan-3, the need for mutual trust and cooperation among businesses and governments, the importance of innovation and inclusiveness, the role of India in building an efficient and trusted global supply chain, the opportunities and challenges of sustainability and digital transformation, and the idea of a connected world with shared purpose, planet, prosperity and future.
