Chhattisgarh to host 4th meeting of the G20 Framework Working Group

Current Context: Raipur in Chhattisgarh will host the fourth and final meeting of the G20 Framework Working Group (FWG) from September 18-19, 2023. This is a prestigious event for India as it is the first time that the country is hosting the G20 Presidency.

• The FWG is a key working group that discusses global macroeconomic issues and policy cooperation among the G20 members.
• The meeting in Raipur will be chaired by Ms Chandni Raina, Adviser, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and Ms. Sam Beckett, Chief Economic Adviser, HM Treasury, UK.
• More than 65 delegates from G20 member and invitee countries, and various international and regional organisations will participate in the meeting.
• The meeting will take stock of the discussions in the FWG in 2023 and explore future areas of work. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for the delegates to enjoy the rich culture and heritage of Chhattisgarh.
