• National:
• The Maritime Infrastructure Perspective Plan 2023-37 was released at the 2nd Naval Commanders Conference. This plan aims to synchronize and enmesh the infrastructure requirements of the Navy over the next 15 years.

• According to the 2023 Trade Finance Gaps, Growth and Jobs Survey released by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the global trade finance gap expanded to a record $2.5 trillion in 2022, up from $1.7 trillion two years earlier.
• The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has approved Groww Mutual Fund to launch its first index fund. The index fund is named the Groww Nifty Total Markets Index Fund. This approval allows Groww to enter the mutual fund space.
• The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) successfully launched the X-ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM) and the Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM).
• Ahmedabad has indeed become the second city in India to implement an Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) for particulate pollution, following Surat. The Gujarat government announced this on Tuesday.The ETS, also known as a “cap-and-trade” system, caps the amount of pollution allowed from regulated industries and allots permits to plants.
• Jharkhand Cabinet has approved a pension of Rs 1,000 per month for the transgender community under the Mukhyamantri Rajya Samajik Suraksha Pension Yojana. This is part of a social assistance scheme aimed at providing social security and bringing the transgender community into the mainstream of society.
