ECI & Electoral Commission of Seychelles Signed MoU for Cooperation in Electoral Management

Current Context: The MoU was signed on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the Electoral Commission of Seychelles Headquarters in Victoria, the capital of Seychelles.

• The MoU aims to enhance the exchange of best practices in election management and the training of officials, including the digitalization of electoral process and its potential benefits.
• The MoU also seeks to strengthen cooperation between ECI and ECS by establishing an institutional mechanism to improve electoral management and administration, build on mutual experience and facilitate exchange of expertise and other relevant information.
• The MoU is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships and cooperation between election management bodies.
• The signing ceremony was attended by the visiting delegation of Deputy Election Commissioners from India, Shri Hirdesh Kumar and Shri Ram Kumar Gupta, along with the High Commissioner of India to Seychelles Shri Kartik Pande.
