“Guide on Gender-Inclusive Communication” launched on 28 November 2023

Current Context: “Guide on Gender-Inclusive Communication” launched on 28 November 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, by the UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the National Commission for Women, and other partners.

• The launch event was attended by representatives from the government, civil society, media, academia, and the private sector, as well as gender experts and advocates.
• The event featured a panel discussion on the importance of gender-inclusive language in the workplace, as well as a presentation of the key findings and recommendations from the guide.
• The guide aims to help employers, managers, and employees to create a more inclusive and respectful work environment, by using language that does not discriminate or exclude anyone based on their gender identity or expression.
