PM Modi inaugurated the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit

Current Context: The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit was held from January 10 to 12, 2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this Summit in Gandhinagar.

• The theme of this year’s summit was ‘Gateway to the Future’ and it included the participation of 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations.
• The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is organized by the Government of Gujarat.
• The summit was also used as a platform by the Ministry of Development of the North-Eastern Region to showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions.
• Prominent industry leaders like Lakshmi Mittal of ArcelorMittal, Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal of Vedanta Group, Uday Kotak, and Sameer Nigam of PhonePay featured in this edition.
• They addressed the gathering and informed about their business plans.
• The Prime Minister conveyed his greeting for 2024 and reiterated the pledge to make India ‘viksit’ by 2047, making the next 25 years ‘Amrit Kaal’ of the country.
• In this Summit saw the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for 41,299 projects with investment proposals worth Rs 26.33 lakh crore.
