Current Context: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) commissioned its first indigenously manufactured hydrogen electrolyser at the Green Hydrogen Plant in Hazira, Gujarat on March 1, 2024.

    • The electrolyser has a rated power capacity of 1 MW, which is expandable to 2 MW.
    • It can produce 200 Nm3/Hr of hydrogen.
    • The electrolyser is equipped with two stacks and an Electrolyser Processing Unit (EPU) ML-400, both of which are indigenously manufactured and assembled.
    • The electrolyser will now undergo rigorous testing in the coming weeks to optimise its performance.
