2nd phase of Khelo India Rising Talent Identification (KIRTI) initiative inaugurated

Current Context: On July 19, 2024, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, inaugurated the second phase of the Khelo India Rising Talent Identification (KIRTI) program in New Delhi.

• This ambitious initiative aims to identify talent across the country through mass participation and structured assessment programs.
• In the first phase, over 51,000 assessments were conducted across 28 states and Union Territories in disciplines such as athletics, football, and more.
• KIRTI’s transparent selection methodology uses data analytics and artificial intelligence to predict an aspiring athlete’s sporting acumen.
