Current Context: The Second India-France-UAE Trilateral Focal Points Meeting took place via virtual conference on July 9, 2024.

  • The Indian delegation was led by Shri Piyush Srivastava, Joint Secretary (Europe West), and Shri Aseem R Mahajan, Joint Secretary (Gulf), from the Ministry of External Affairs.
  • The French delegation was headed by Mr. Timothée Truelle, Head of South Asia Division, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and the UAE side was represented by H.E. Mr. Saeed Mubarak Al-Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • During the meeting, they reviewed progress in trilateral cooperation across various areas outlined in the Joint Roadmap agreed upon by the three Foreign Ministers in February 2023.
  • Additionally, they discussed new initiatives to strengthen cooperation in multilateral affairs, economy, infrastructure, digital innovation, energy, environment, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
  • The commitment to constructive ties among the three countries remains strong, with regular follow-up meetings planned.
