Current Context: On 20th August 2024, The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysia’s Public Service Department (PSD) for cooperation in digital governance systems at Hyderabad House in New Delhi.

  • This MoU, effective from August 20, 2024, aims to foster collaboration in several key areas over the next five years:
  • Providing citizen-centric services through digital platforms.
  • Simplifying and re-engineering government processes for efficient public service delivery.
  • Promoting transparency and accountability in public service delivery.
  • Human Resource Management (HRM) and Leadership Development (LD).
  • Public Sector Management Reforms (PSMR).
  • Public grievance redress mechanisms.
  • Electronic Governance (E-Governance) and Digital Government (DG).
  • A Joint Working Group (JWG) will be established to oversee the implementation of this cooperation.
