Current Context: The 28th National Conference on e‑Governance (NCeG) was held on 22–23 September 2025 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

  • It was jointly organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
  • The conference was inaugurated by Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology.
  • The theme was “Viksit Bharat: Civil Service and Digital Transformation.”
  • Its aim was to share best practices, promote digital transformation in governance, and recognise innovations through the National Awards for e‑Governance (NAeG).
  • The conference featured 6 plenary + 6 breakout sessions, 70 speakers, and delegates from 28 States & 8 UTs.
  • The National Awards for e‑Governance 2025 honoured 19 initiatives (10 Gold, 6 Silver, 3 Jury).
