Current Context: The 10th National Ayurveda Day was observed on 23 September 2025, shifting from the earlier practice of celebrating Dhanteras to a fixed global date.

• The theme was “Ayurveda for People & Planet”, highlighting health, sustainability, and harmony with nature.
• The main event was held at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, organised by the Ministry of Ayush.
• Key launches included the Desh ka Swasthya Parikshan campaign, the DRAVYA Portal (digital Ayurvedic database), and an Oncology Unit in collaboration with Tata Memorial Centre.
• The Ministry of Ayush conferred the National Dhanwantari Ayurveda Awards. 
• Awardees were Prof. Banwari Lal Gaur (education & Sanskrit), Vaidya Neelakandhan Mooss E.T. (traditional practice), and Vaidya Bhavana Prasher (Ayurgenomics research). 
• Each received ₹5 lakh, citation, and trophy for contributions to Ayurveda’s academic, traditional, and scientific advancement.
