Current Context: On 23 October 2025, the Government of Kerala signed an MoU with the Union Ministry of Education in New Delhi to join the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme.

  • The aim is to upgrade schools with modern infrastructure, digital tools, and inclusive learning environments in line with NEP 2020.
  • Under the scheme, two schools per block in Kerala will be developed as model schools.
