Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar 2025 Winners Announced

Current Context: The Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar (RVP) 2025 winners were announced on 25 October 2025, recognising 24 individual scientists and 1 team.

• The awards are given in four categories – Vigyan Ratna (lifetime achievement), Vigyan Shri (distinguished contributions), Vigyan Yuva–Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar (young scientists), and Vigyan Team. Prof.
• Jayant Vishnu Narlikar was honoured with the Vigyan Ratna (posthumous) for his pioneering work in astrophysics.
• Vigyan Shri awardees include Dr. K. Thangaraj (genetics), Prof. S. Venkata Mohan (environmental science), Prof. Mahan Mj (mathematics), and Dr. Gyanendra Pratap Singh (agricultural sciences) among others.
