National:
  • On 24 November 2025, Union MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh announced the establishment of four Quantum Fabrication and Central Facilities worth ₹720 crore under the National Quantum Mission (NQM). These facilities will be set up at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, and IISc Bengaluru. The initiative aims to strengthen India’s technological sovereignty in quantum computing, sensing, and materials research.
  • The National Commission for Women (NCW) launched a new 24×7 toll-free short-code helpline ‘14490’ on 24 November 2025 to support women in distress across India. It provides immediate assistance for cases of violence, harassment, or emergencies, and is linked to NCW’s existing helpline 7827170170 for seamless support.
  • On 24–25 Nov 2025, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi inaugurated a biomass pellet plant in Rewari, Haryana. The plant has a 240 tonnes per day capacity, converting crop residue into clean fuel pellets. It aims to curb stubble burning, boost farmer incomes, and support renewable energy goals. This project aligns with India’s Net Zero 2070 target and the E20 Mission.
  • On 25 Nov 2025, PM Modi inaugurated the ‘Panchjanya’ monument in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The monument is dedicated to Lord Krishna’s sacred conch, symbolizing truth and righteousness. He also visited the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra and attended the International Gita Mahotsav.
  • India’s first AI Film Festival and Cinema AI Hackathon was held at the 56th IFFI in Goa (20–28 Nov 2025), organized by National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) with LTIMindtree. Over 500 participants from 18 countries created short AI-powered films in a 48-hour hackathon. The film “Being” by Indywood won Best AI Visualised Film, marking a milestone in India’s AI-driven cinema innovation.
International:
  • The World Health Organization (WHO) declared Indonesia polio-free on 19 November 2025, ending its type‑2 outbreak. The disease had re‑emerged in Aceh province in 2022 due to low vaccination coverage and misinformation. Nearly 60 million doses of polio vaccine were administered nationwide to contain the spread.
  • On 25 Nov 2025, Brazil’s Supreme Court ordered Jair Bolsonaro to serve 27 years, 3 months in prison. He was convicted of plotting a coup after losing the 2022 election to Lula da Silva. Charges included leading an armed criminal organization and undermining democratic rule of law.
  • On 25 Nov 2025, Lithuania proposed tax breaks and social measures to raise its birth rate. Families with two or more children will get zero income tax for 5 years per extra child. The target is to lift fertility from 1.18 to 1.5 children per woman. This aims to reverse demographic decline and support young families.
MoUs:
  • On 25 November 2025 in New Delhi, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MoSJE) and the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) signed an MoU to empower De‑Notified, Nomadic and Semi‑Nomadic Tribes (DNTs). The agreement aims to integrate DNT Self‑Help Groups (SHGs) into the DAY‑NRLM ecosystem, providing training, financial literacy, credit linkages, and livelihood opportunities.

  • The Sixth International Agronomy Congress (IAC‑2025) was held from 24–26 November 2025 at Pusa Campus, New Delhi. Organized by the Indian Society of Agronomy (ISA) with Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), and Trust for Advancement of Agricultural Sciences (TAAS). Theme: “Re-envisioning Agronomy for Smart Agro-Food Systems and Environmental Protection.”

  • Africa Industrialization Day 2025 was observed on November 20 to promote sustainable industrialization across Africa.​ The theme, "Transforming Africa’s Economy through Sustainable Industrialization, Regional Integration, and Innovation," aligned with Africa Industrialization Week (November 17-21).​ It emphasizes economic diversification, AfCFTA trade, green industries, AI, and women's empowerment in value chains.
  • On 23 Nov 2025, India celebrated the 77th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Raising Day. Events were held at Delhi Cantonment Parade Ground and nationwide with cadets from all wings. Founded in 1948 under the NCC Act, it is the world’s largest youth uniformed organization. The day reaffirmed its motto “Unity and Discipline” and role in nation-building.
  • World Philosophy Day 2025 was observed on 20 November 2025, the third Thursday of November. Organized by UNESCO, it highlighted the theme “The Values of Societies of the Future”. The day promotes critical thinking, dialogue, tolerance, and respect for diverse viewpoints. It reminds humanity that philosophy is a tool for peace, ethics, and wiser decision-making.
Appointments:
  • On 26 November 2025, PUMA appointed Ramprasad Sridharan as its new Managing Director (MD) for India. He will take charge from December 2025, succeeding Karthik Balagopalan. Sridharan has over 25 years of retail experience, previously serving as CEO & MD of Benetton India. His appointment aims to accelerate PUMA India’s growth and strengthen retail and digital strategies.
