  • Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated the Integrated Sohra Tourism Circuit Project in Meghalaya on 1 November 2025.   • Gogabeel Lake, an oxbow lake in Katihar district of Bihar, was declared India’s 94th Ramsar Site on 3rd November 2025. It is Bihar’s first community reserve and the sixth Ramsar Site of the state. Located between the Ganga and Mahananda rivers, the lake spans about 86.6 hectares. This recognition highlights its rich biodiversity, especially as a habitat for migratory birds and aquatic life.
  • Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya felicitated Rohit Shetty, Harbhajan Singh, and Saina Nehwal as Fit India Icons on 1 November 2025.   • On 1 November 2025, China launched its 42nd Antarctic expedition from Shanghai. This mission marks its first-ever scientific drilling into subglacial lakes beneath Antarctica’s thick ice sheets. Over 500 scientists and crew aboard icebreakers Xuelong and Xuelong 2 will conduct research. The aim is to study climate history, ice-sheet evolution, and unique microbial ecosystems preserved under the ice.

  • On 2 November 2025, New Zealand’s former captain Kane Williamson announced his retirement from T20 Internationals (T20Is). He played 93 matches, scoring 2,575 runs at an average of 33 with 18 half‑centuries, retiring as New Zealand’s second‑highest T20I run‑scorer.
  • On 1 November 2025, at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar, the 42nd Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament final was held. Indian Oil Mumbai defeated Indian Railways Delhi 2–1, clinching the prestigious title. This victory marked their third consecutive win in the tournament and seventh overall. The triumph reinforced Indian Oil’s dominance in Indian hockey, showcasing their consistent excellence.

  • On 3 November 2025, Samia Suluhu Hassan was sworn in for her second term as President of Tanzania in Dodoma.   • Gopichand Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group, passed away in London on 4 November 2025 at the age of 85. He was one of the UK’s richest businessmen, with the Hinduja family topping the Sunday Times Rich List 2024. Under his leadership, the group expanded globally with interests in automotive, banking, energy, and IT.
