Current Context: The first Khelo India Tribal Games (KITG) 2026 were held in Chhattisgarh (Raipur, Jagdalpur, Surguja) from 25 March – 3 April 2026.

• Mascot: Mor Veer, representing tribal courage and pride.

• Significance: First tribal-only national multi-sport event, aimed at talent scouting in tribal regions and promoting indigenous sports.
