About “Study in India”:
- Ministry: Ministry of Human Resource Development
- Aim: To facilitate Internationalization of Higher Education in India
- Objectives:
- To attract foreign students for Higher Education to India
- Use Higher Education as a soft power for diplomacy with neighbouring countries
- To increase India’s market share of global education exports
- Make Educational institutions of global standards to increase its global ranking
- The programme is targeting to attract students from 30 plus countries from South-East Asia, the Middle East and Africa
- It will offer seats for International students and fee waiver ranging from 100% to 25%
- Top 100 partner institutions will be selected on the basis of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) grading
