  • The United Kingdom's Ministry of Justice Department has announced that Advocate Harish Salve has been appointed the Queen's Counsel for the courts of England and Wales. Advocate Salve served as a Solicitor General for India until 2002.

  • Reserve Bank of India's weekly statistical supplement released on 17th Jan 2020 has reported that the Indian Government has Rs 606.05 million of outstanding loans with RBI underway and means advances in the week ended on 10th Jan 2020.
  • The third edition of North Zone Conference’ of Media Units of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, is being held in Jammu. The Conference is being organised by the Regional Outreach Bureau, Jammu and Kashmir region to promote coordination and effectiveness making the office's infrastructurally sound.
  • Russian Deputy Chief of Mission Roman Babushkin has said that Russia will deliver all five units of S-400 long-range surface-to-air missile systems to India by 2025. In October 2018, India signed a USD 5 billion deal to buy the air defence missile systems.
