- Gujarat government has launched ‘Study in Gujarat’ campaign in order to make Gujarat State an educational hub at national and international level. Under the campaign, a high level delegation will hold road shows in western Asian countries from 15th to 22nd January 2020.
- The WHO Chief Scientist Dr Soumya Swaminathan has said that in India and several other developing countries, the incidence of nutrition deficiency is coming down and obesity going up and also the nutrition situation in India varies from state to state.
- The Indian Railways has launched an integrated helpline number 139 for quick grievance redressal and enquiries by passengers during their train journeys. The Helpline 139 will be available in twelve languages and is based on Interactive Voice Response System.
