  • Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated National Stock Exchange (NSE) Knowledge Hub in New Delhi on 6th Jan 2020. The NSE Knowledge Hub is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered learning ecosystem that will assist the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector.
  • Nari Shakti Puraskar for the year 2019 will be conferred on the 8th March 2020, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The award is given annually to individuals, groups, institutions in recognition of their exceptional work towards the women empowerment (especially for vulnerable and marginalized women).

  • Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre (LSRC) won the bronze medal in Under-20 Boys category of the ongoing 5th Ice Hockey Association of India (IHAI) National Ice Hockey Championship. 
  • RBI bought three long-term securities worth 10,000 crore rupees in the 3rd special open market operation while selling the same amount of three short-term bonds. The RBI offered to purchase three securities including 10-year benchmark government bond, as against just one bond in the previous two auctions.
  • Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of Delhi Cycle Walk project at Tughlakabad in New Delhi on 6th Jan 2020, aimed at making the city most walkable and environment-friendly. This cycle walk will cover abundant forests, dense residential areas and workplaces in close proximity in the city.
