- Kati Bihu or Kangali Bihu: It is one of the three Bihu festivals of Assam. It is an agricultural festival which is celebrated in Mid-October when crops are at a growing stage and granaries of farmers are depleting.

- India’s first-ever multi-modal logistic park will be set up in Jogighopa, in Bongaigaon district of Assam. The foundation stone for this was laid down by Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. The cost of this project is Rs 693.97 crore and will be developed under Bharatmala Pariyojana of GOI.
