• Mission Sagar II: Under this mission, the Indian Naval Ship (INS) Airvat entered Port Sudan with 100 tonnes of food aid support. The GOI has launched Mission Sagar to provide food assistance support to the friendly foreign nations who are affected severely due to pandemic COVID-19. The mission is carried out in coordination among Ministry of Defence and Ministry of External Affairs and various other agencies of GOI. Under Mission Sagar II, food aid is delivered to Sudan, South Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea by INS Airavat.
