Current Context: India’s largest public broadcasting agency, Prasar Bharati has signed MoU with BISAG- State level agency by Government of Gujarat i.e. with Bhaskaracharya National
Prasar Bharti signed MoU with BISAG-N
Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics.
  • They have signed MoU with an aim to launch DTH educational TV channels to all DD free dish viewers. 
  • All the 51 DTH education channels will be available as DD co-branded channels to all DD Fresh Dish viewers.
  • Those 51 DTH education channels include 22 channels of Swaymprabha,12 channels of e-Vidya for classes 1 to 12, 16 channels of Vande Gujarat and 1 channel of DigiShala.  
  • This partnership will provide quality online educational programmes in rural and remote areas.
  • The services can be availed in free of cost for all viewers for 24x7. 
  • This partnership will also lead to achieving the target of GOI of ‘Education to all’.
