  • The Mount Everest is declared to be 86 cm taller by China and Nepal. The new height of Mt. Everest is at 8,848.86 metres.
  • The Reserve Bank of India has cancelled the license of Karad Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd of Maharashtra. The reason behind this is that the bank is not having sufficient capital and earning prospects. More than 99% of the account holders of the bank will get full payment of their deposits from DICGC (Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation).
